Radical Portland~ We had an insane trip to Portland all thanks to our homie, Vince Skelly. It was everything we ever fantasized about it and more. Friendly locals, check. Local taps, check. Wild berries everywhere, check. Beautiful waterfalls and hikes, check. Cool theatres, yes. AND AND AND, I got to see the latest Mike Kelley work that was inspired by Superman’s hometown! I was so psyched to see his piece at the Portland Art Museum. Here are some memories of this short but sweet vacation back at the homeland. I can’t believed we Q’ed a street over from where I grew up or that I even remembered the name of the street I grew up on! And here’s to all the awesome friends and family we met up there-Matt, Anneke, Phyllis, Ryan, Paul, Claire, Emmett, Jetplane, Jeremy, Jenny, Rodney, Gwyn, Mark and more. Thanks to Ryan from Ace Hotel taking time out of his busy schedule for our lunch. Did I mention all my favorite bands are from Portland, too? We’ll be back next Summer fer shure. Geesh, I’m gushing… well, this is my gushy face. I couldn’t see well, cuz I thought I left my spex at a brew pub.
