I’ve become a weekend warrior looking for things to fill my 70’s redwood loft apartment and it’s meant lots of plants to clean the air inside my bedroom, a consideration of more efficient bookshelves for more art catalogs, and ceramic colorful accents. But I’ve also been looking for hybrid pieces like a couch that secretly flips into a guest bed, a breakfast tray that makes a good laptop television table and then I came across this: a table that looks like a  vase! Gorgeously deceptive and made of blown glass, I love how it breaks light with color as well as reflecting it with a metal top. Designer Sebastien Herkner produces from Germany and is a bright, young 31.
