Congrats to Snarkitecture!

For issue 4 of First Person Magazine’s “Discomfort of Sculpture”, I interviewed the artist Daniel Arsham. He mentioned his project for the new Miami Marlins Stadium that he and his partner Alex Mustonen at Snarkitecture were conceptualizing. Taking the iconic letters of the sports venue previously named the Orange Bowl and arranging them around the new structure as if  they had fallen pseudo post-Katrina. Here are some photos of the realized project titled, “A Memorial Bowing”.  Arsham’s work subverts pre-existing architectural elements, in this case the huge letters and took the cool, craziness of Miami design to the next level. Disaster chic?
