Yesterday I spent the day with Les Blank. I ate 4 persimmons, cooked deep friend crab in tamarind sauce, squids in wine, and meditated together. He watched my first ever film and was toe-tappin’ in delight to it and encouraged me to submit it to festivals. He was drying his persimmons in a Japanese style tied up with strings and gave me an artwork from Vietnam that he swapped for some of his DVD’s. The little figure is the “maestro”. His picture was on his biz card that Les gave me and I cut it out here. Thanks Les! See you in 2012.
An inspiring motto for 2012: the year of LAF and good things to come!
