These two old dudes: I interviewed Gilbert & George in the park and at their show at the De Young Museum (thank you!) during their exhibition. They kept asking me when I’d curate a show of their work in Vietnam and pointed out the toes of this dude sitting in the grass. I asked Ari Marcopoulus to shoot them and when we were in the parking garage going outside, the walls were painted this amazing jade goddess green and I asked them to stop. They said, “This is for Betty” and put each of their fingers in the other’s mouth. I love them!
